In Hokkaido, the Northern Island of Japan, the Cantaloupe Melon is truly a delicacy! A single melon at a department store costs an average of $50! The melons grown here are truly the sweetest melons I’ve ever eaten so I can see why they are so expensive. In this video I sample some of the melons at Melon Land in Furano, and also eat some melon “softo” ice cream. If you’re heading to Japan during melon season, make sure to buy a slice and give these tasty melons a try!
