A Japanese delicacy are eggs that have been boiled in natural hot spring water, they call these “Onsen Eggs.” I found a street side shack in the town Kurokawa Onsen that sells Onsen Eggs for the bargain price of 50 yen. The most interesting part of this Onsen Egg shack is that it’s based on the honor system. The eggs are just boiled away, and there’s a wooden box to put money in for payment.
