A video review of the Royal Park Hotel THE Haneda at the Haneda International Airport Terminal in Tokyo Japan. In this video I cover the common areas of the hotel, and the inside of the Hollywood Twin room. Royal Park Hotel THE Haneda is a great hotel if you’re arriving on a late night flight, or departing from an early morning flight from Haneda airport. I’d definitely stay again.
We checked in at about midnight after our late night (10:30pm) arrival in to Haneda airport. Check-in was prompt as there were about five employees at the front desk checking in guests. Midnight is clearly their busy time for check-ins. It was super convienent to stay here as the hotel is directly connected to the International Terminal on the departures floor. We didn’t even have to walk outside the airport, just up an elevator and down a hallway. At check-in we asked where a nearby convenience store was. In true Japanese style the front-desk attendant took out a map of the airport, and drew out the route we should walk to get to the “Air Lawson” on the first floor of the airport. He even told us which elevator to take, instead of the escalator, because the elevator was faster.
The Hollywood Twin Room, while definitely small, was very well laid out an functional. It had to twin beds, a small desk with a pullout foot-rest/chair. The room even had a really really tiny refrigerator — big enough for a few bottled beverages. The beds were comfortable, the room was clean and quiet, and the air conditioner was cold. That’s about all I ask for in a hotel room.
Overall I really enjoyed our stay here for one night after a late night flight. I’d definitely stay again if I’m arriving late in to Tokyo. It’s nice to just crash to sleep right in the airport and not have to navigate any of Tokyo’s public transportation.
