A guide for visiting Crystal Cove State Park in Newport Beach California. Everything you need to know if you’re planning a visit to Crystal Cove. We’ll explore the Historic District, The beach, The hiking/biking path above the beach, the campgrounds, and a look at my favorite backcountry hike, and yes… we’ll eat at the famous Crystal Cove Shake Shack as well! Crystal Cove State Park is one of the largest remaining examples of open space and natural coastline in Orange County California. Crystal Cove features 3.2 miles of beach, in a nearly 4,000 park including hiking, biking, and equestrian trails. Located between Newport Beach and Laguna Beach, this is my favorite State Park in California. The park also features the federally listed Historic District, an enclave of 46 vintage rustic coastal cottages originally built as a seaside colony in the 1930’s & 40’s.
