Singapore’s Le Shrimp Noodle Bar is bringing even more authentic Singaporean flavors to Orange County with the arrival of two iconic comfort dishes not widely found in the U.S.: Singaporean-style Hainanese Chicken Rice and Laksa. Both dishes will debut at the brand’s OC locations (Costa Mesa and Irvine) beginning January 19, for a limited time.
A cornerstone of Singaporean cuisine, Hainanese Chicken Rice features tender poached chicken served with fragrant rice cooked in chicken broth and aromatics like ginger, garlic, and pandan. The dish is accompanied by a traditional trio of sauces—bright chili paste, ginger scallion, and soy sauce—and is available with skin-on dark meat or a boneless, skinless option.
The Hainanese Chicken Rice isjoined by another nationally-acclaimed dish of Singapore: Laksa, a rich, seafood curry-based noodle soup known for its bold, layered flavors. Le Shrimp’s version features a creamy, aromatic broth — served with prawns, fish cake, beansprouts, tofu puffs, and noodles that soak up the deeply savory coconut curry base. Offered in limited quantities (just 25 bowls daily), the laksa delivers the comforting, soul-warming flavors found at hawker stalls across Singapore.
